La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5+
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Vitamin B5:Â Panthenol (provitamin B5) is a key ingredient used in some La Roche-Posay formulas to help the skin feel soothed and moisturized.
Shea Butter:Â Sustainably sourced in Burkina Faso. Formulas with shea butter help restore the skin’s hydrolipidic film and help skin feel soothed.
Glycerin:Â Derived from vegetable sources, it’s an excellent humectant. It helps hydrate skin by absorbing water from the surrounding environment.
Dimethicone:Â A silicone-based polymer used as a skin protectant to help reduce water loss. It is one of the core ingredients in Cicaplast Balm B5 to help protect chapped, cracked, and chafed skin.
Madecassoside:Â Derived from the Centella Asiatica plant, madecassoside is known for its nourishing properties.
La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water:Â A soothing water sourced in the town of La Roche-Posay in France and a core ingredient in most of our products. It contains a unique combination of minerals, trace elements, and a high concentration of selenium, a natural antioxidant.

Seems like there is nothing this can’t do. It is super gentle, non irritating, ultra moisturizing, yet not greasy or oily. It absorbs quickly, has no scent, and can be used anywhere on body. Thicker than a lotion, but not as heavy as a cream. It is rich and glides across the skin. A little goes a long way.

I love using it as a face moisturizer– dont need much!! Just add a little to palm of hand, distribute between both hands and pat gently all over face or trouble spots. Or dab on and pat all in. Don’t rub, don’t use a lot (though packaging does say that it can be used in a generous layer. I prefer light layer for my face). As with any skin care, try a patch test and don’t add in a lot of new stuff at once. Go slow! See how something works for you before adding more items or moving on.

I HAVE used it on my lips. It is fantastic for super dry cold days, whether inside or out. I spend a lot of time outside in the winter, so I like having some additional moisture treatment at the ready. It isn’t fancy, it isn’t all glossy and pretty.. it is just simply comfort and effectiveness. I love keeping a tube in my pocket or purse for this reason. Also will use it on my hands and massage it into nail area. Given the small sized container, I usually just keep it for face, hands, and elbows.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 has been a lifesaver for my severely cracked face with red blotches. This restorative balm has proven to be a game-changer in alleviating discomfort and promoting healing.
The rich and nourishing formula immediately soothes and hydrates my irritated skin. It creates a protective barrier that aids in the recovery of my cracked skin, providing relief from dryness and preventing further irritation. The anti-inflammatory properties have noticeably reduced the red blotches, contributing to a more even and calm complexion.
I appreciate the non-greasy texture, allowing me to apply it throughout the day without feeling heavy or sticky. The balm absorbs well, and I’ve seen significant improvement in the overall condition of my skin since incorporating it into my skincare routine.
In conclusion, La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 is a must-have for anyone dealing with severe skin issues. Its healing properties have made a remarkable difference in my skin’s health, and I highly recommend it for those seeking effective relief for cracked and irritated facial skin.

La Roche-Posay’s Cicaplast Balm B5 is a game-changer for anyone with dry, irritated skin. Its fragrance-free formula is incredibly gentle, making it perfect for sensitive skin and even safe for babies. The cream absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue, providing immediate relief and hydration. It’s been a lifesaver for my chapped hands and dry patches on my face. Highly recommend for its versatility and effectiveness. Truly a must-have in my skincare routine!

I bought this for the redness I get around my nose and chin (helping with panthenol) This helps heal these areas since I have skin barrier issues.
Its very heavy, so if you have oily skin you may not like this. I have dry skin and even this made me feel kinda greasy. A little does go a long way though, but its hard to spread if you use a very little. Its very moisturizing so it can be used as a moisturizer on its own.
Using this at night is completely fine for me! But using this during the day when I wear sunscreen genuinely feels awful. It feels like ive gone a month without washing my face.

So let me preface this by saying I have combination skin, oily in my t zone and nose area but dry on my cheeks. I also struggle with lots of blackheads on my nose and have tried skin cycling, chemical exfoliation (aha/bhas), physical exfoliation, and retinol. None of them have worked better than using the Cicaplast Balm! My nose is SIGNIFICANTLY less covered in blackheads (I’ve been consistently using this for about 2 weeks now). My routine is to double cleanse with an oil cleanser and then a cream cleanser, hylauranic acid toner, moisturizer, then slug this balm on my cheeks and nose area! I do this night and day and it does not make me break out or make me oily at all and has really helped keep my cheeks hydrated and my nose oiliness under control! I can’t speak more highly of it! The only weird thing is it says you can use it on your lips but I felt it was a little thin to help with my chapped lips so I’ll stick with aquaphor for my chapped lips.

This product is one of my favorites from La Roche. It’s versatile and helps keep my skin moisturized and smooth in the winter months. Its also great for clearing up blackheads/sebaceous filaments on my nose!
